Franklin Lakes
Project Description: New residence.

Client Requirements: The site is a wooded and steeply sloping lot providing views of the mountains to the north and preserved park land to the south. The client’s desire is to experience the changing topography and lighting orientation throughout the residence and exterior areas in a dynamic arrangement of spaces expressed through a contemporary aesthetic. The client would also like to implement geothermal and solar technology.

Architectural Initiatives: The spaces of the residence are organized in section to follow to the topography of the site. The entry level is the lowest and the living spaces are oriented to optimize view opportunities and orientation, and open out onto the pool terrace and private lawn area. Covered exterior living areas as well as roof terraces and gardens further promote interaction between interior and exterior spaces.
