Architectural Scope of Work: Addition and renovation of existing 19th Century residence.
Architectural Initiatives: This historic home is located in the heart of Sag Harbor village. Formerly a 19th Century Captain’s Residence, the building had been divided into 3 separate rental units. The clients wished to return the function of the home to its former use as a single family home. All 3 floors of the building were stripped down to framing members. All finish material was removed. Existing fragments of the original building components were recovered and reinstalled. New spatial sequences were designed and implemented on all levels and new space added to the rear of the building providing a large kitchen opening directly onto an intimate private terrace.
